Job Description: Accounting Specialist

Salary: $27 - $33/hour

Ledgent, a Roth Staffing Company, is excited to partner with a dynamic and reputable financial services organization located in Roseville, California, to find a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting the business with a variety of critical accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reconciliations (account, bank, and credit card).

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and ensure payments are recorded properly.
  • Address and resolve AP discrepancies promptly.

• Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Post customer payments and manage AR aging reports.
  • Investigate and resolve customer billing questions or discrepancies.

• Reconciliations:

  • Perform routine reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
  • Assist in account reconciliations, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and compliant.

• General Accounting Support:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including journal entries and account preparation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support financial operations.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional accounting certifications or coursework is a plus.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience in an Accounting Specialist, AP/AR Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP/AR practices and reconciliations.

• Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with vendors, customers, and team members.

Salary & Benefits
